Hurry up!

Rob ripped the results while trying to get the envelope open. This was the best surprise gift we could ever imagine!

What did you say?

Did you hear that everyone? As we screamed, the people we had on the phones tried to decipher whether we screamed out boy or girl.

Oh my gosh..Oh my gosh...Oh my gosh!

In Nana Rox's excitement, she tore the results from our hands to make for certain it was indeed a boy!

And...It's a boy!

You can't see it, but it is definitely a boy!

Best Christmas Gift Ever!

It's a Boy! Rob and I found out late Christmas morning. It was a very special time to be with the Hutchins Family this Christmas. We got up fairly late (7am) and had a yummy breakfast, which consisted of hot, steaming cinnamon rolls (homemade) and a wonderful strata (thanks to Martha Stewart's new cooking show). After we finished stuffing everyone's stockings, we sat around the fire and unstuffed each one. After we opened the gifts in our stockings, we had a Chinese gift exchange. Rob ended up with the best gift of all. He received the Garth Brooks CD collection. As soon as he saw Neely open the gift, he took the opportunity and stole it from her. Luckily, nobody else was gutsy enough to steal it from him. After the Chinese gift exchange, we geared up for the big revealing. Mom and Dad searched frantically for the camcorder, the battery to the camcorder, and a tape for the camcorder. As we waited patiently, the phone rang. Mary was on the other end to let us know she was back from her Christmas-Hot Air Balloon ride. So, everyone was ready! We gathered all of the working cell phones and called Rob's mom and Rob's dad and Mary (my big sister). When everyone was on the phone, Rob proceeded to open the envelope. In his excitement, he tore the envelope and the results. When he yelled out it was a boy, everyone screamed. The relatives on the other end were trying hard to decipher whether we had announced boy or girl. After mom finished jumping up and down and Haley could catch her breath, we all celebrated with pictures, hugs and kisses. It was an awesome experience. When we get back to Texas we will post the pictures that tell the story very well.

Baby's First Blanket!

Oh how special are those gifts that are made from the heart! I remember my first baby blanket. To this day, I still use it occasionally. I have hoped for that same special gift for Baby Helmer. Mary Curl, my supervisor in graduate school, made this beautiful blanket with her own hands. Can you just imagine covering up baby Helmer's little rump as he/she sleeps on his/her stomach. Thank you Ms. Curl for your special gift to Baby Helmer.

Gosh, I can't wait to find out the gender. Typing and reaing his/her and he/she is annoying.

Countdown Ticker

Belly shot 21 weeks!

Now this is a belly shot. Can you see the bump forming? If you compare this belly to the belly four weeks ago, you can actually see the bump. At 17 weeks I just had a big barrell belly. Baby has developed a kickboxing schedule for himsel/herself. Every morning at 2am when I get up to go to the restroom he/she begins the day's first workout. In the morning on the way to work baby jumps and jives to Christmas music. In the early afternoon when I am doing therapy with the little ones, baby decides to take a walk on my bladder. Finally, after dinner every night baby dances for joy because I cook the most marvelous food. Have I said that this is the best feeling in the world!
