Baftime For Puppies
Oh, don't we look so helpless. Sweet Chula endulged herself in a nice pillow (mommie's pillow) this morning. During baftime there was no mercy. Every nook and cranny was washed and scrubbed. Chula waited patiently to be released from the tub. She was washed, rinsed, and dryed off. As she escaped the tub, she was doused in warm vanilla body spray. Now her and mommy smell nice together. Chula is excited about going to Aunt Jess's house to scope out her selection of pillows and other items for chewing and destroying.
Baftime For Puppies
Mommy and Daddy are going out of town this weekend to a baby shower for Lily Mae Dishman. Sweet Aunt Jessica is so graciously keeping Cassius and Chula. This morning both puppies got a scrub down from momma. He complied with the scrubbing, washing, and rinsing. Afterwards he was dried thoroughly and sprayed down with cologne. Cassius smells like fresh baby powder now. He is so very excited about Baby Helmer that he gets up in the bed to curl up with momma every morning when she gets up to go to the restroom at 3am.
Baby Helmer's First Gifts
Baby Helmer is spoiled already. Today was Haley's last day working at the hospital and her co-workers surprised her with breakfast and some good-bye gifts. What a pleasant surprise. Among gifts for pampering herself, Haley received gifts to put to good use with Baby Helmer. Baby Helmer will always smell like sweet lavender and sugar and spice with his/her new bath set. After his/her bath, Baby Helmer will feel so snuggly and warm in this new bath robe. The lion fits snuggly over the baby's head and the rest of the towel wraps snuggly around the baby for a warm exit from the bath. After Baby Helmer's bath. Mommy and daddy will kiss him/her goodnight and he/she will fall asleep to baby a cd full of wonderful lullabies. Grandmas and pas, get ready for fun in the tub!
13 Weeks Update
This is my belly, which used to be flat about 13 weeks ago. Now, keep in mind, this is at night and I ate dinner about 2 hours before this. I still have a fairly flat belly in the morning. All the girls I have been corresponding with on the baby center boards (also due in April) have started to pop. They all say that their bellies are staying popped and not just popping out at night like this. I rented a doppler so that we can hear the heartbeat whenever we please. It is so nice. What a way to start and end your day! All the girls on the babycenter boards have clued me into this kind of stuff. I would recommend this webiste to anybody going through pregnancy. Rob and I are going to the doc in 4 weeks to find out the sex of the baby. We are going to save the surprise for Christmas though. Our doctor gave us the idea to seal the results (the ultrasound technician) in an envelope and open it for Christmas. OH, I can't wait. At first I thought I wanted to wait, but now I am so anxious to find out. Still fitting into my pants with some minor adjustments. Probably going to break down and buy some maternity slacks for work at the end of this month. Trust me, I am going to try and stay far away from full panel pants for as long as I can. I think those are the most hideous things someone could wear. AND, if I ever wear an ugly pink maternity shirt please drag me to the floor and rip it off of me. Some phobia I have developed....don't ask me.

In honor of our home-team we have decided that baby Helmer will enter this world in Red & Black! GO Raiders !Rob found this little outfit in Lubbock over the weekend. He had the priviledge of going to the first Tech home game vs. Kansas. We won While shopping, Rob picked up Baby Helmer's first official Tech outfit. Haley went to the Dr. today and heard the heartbeat for the first time. The heartbeat was loud and strong at 155 beats/minute.
