Tummy Shot - 11 weeks!
Ok, here I am at 11 weeks. Keep in mind that this picture was taken at night. I have been experiencing night-time bloating, so the mornings my tummy looks pretty normal and at night I have this little pooch. As you can see, the pooch is way too high to be the baby anyways. The baby is down by the pelvic bone right now. Rob and I get to go to the doctor in 2 weeks. We should be able to hear the heartbeat.
Lips and LuLu
Lips (Cassius) and LuLu (Chula) are very very excited about our new arrival! Rob and I are planning to keep all the kids inside the house once the baby arrives. We may need to get some obedience lessons for Chula but are very sure that they are even-tempered. Rob and I have worked on desensitizing them to tugging and pulling on their tails and ears since they were babies. We plan to make the baby room "off limits" once we move to the new house!
8 weeks...32 more to go!
YEAH! The Helmer baby is growing at a fast rate and right on time. Dr. Wilson expects that this baby is here to stay. It looks like the bean has implanted itself on the posterior wall of the uterus, which is a great position. As we watched, we saw what looked like a big blob, but as the Dr. walked us through the ultrasound, she pointed out the arm and leg buds and the head and tail. The heartbeat was visible as a little flashing on the screen. It was beating one hundred miles per minute. We feel so excited and blessed. Rob and I will go back to the OB in four weeks to hear the heartbeat!
6 Weeks Gestation
This is the bean at about 6 weeks gestation. The Helmer bean has grown to a whopping 3.9 mm, which is right on track. We are now 85% positive we will make it to meet the baby! Keep us in your prayers!
The Bean
This is our bean! The bean is approximately 5 weeks. Stay tuned for more!
The Helmers
We have been married for 3 years. Our blessed wedding day was August 10, 2002. Since the wedding, We have worked very hard to put me (Haley) through college and graduate school. This past May 2005, we just celebrated our release from the underpinnings of tuition and school schedules. Rob currently works as a superintendent at New Mark Homes in Houston. He spends most of his time studying spanish and taking care of our two little Helmers, Cassius and Chula. Haley works as a speech language pathologist at Memorial City Hospital. She spends most of her time rallying Rob to help out around the house. Haley enjoys running; however due to the pregnancy, the doctor has her walking. Cassius is now three years old and spends his days playing with Chula and fighting over bones.Chula spends her days staring at the shadows on the wall. She enjoys licking walls and taking Cassius' toys. We are all very excited about the new addition to the family. We hope to be well adjusted in our new abode and trained (the dogs) for the new arrival!
Our blessing of life!
We are so excited to share our new life with our friends and family! We can't believe we are going to be parents and soon a bigger family. We thank everyone for their support and prayers. Enjoy this roller coaster with us by blogging throughout the pregnancy. We will update the blog as often as possible.
